Depop

US Depop processing and boost fees

Figures below were checked against the published policy pages on October 8, 2026. They illustrate one supported case. They are not an invoice. The US schedule checked that day has no separate selling fee of 10%. It does have a processing fee of 3.3% + $0.45 on the item price, shipping, and tax. A boost fee, when the sale is attributed and the listing is in the current schedule, is 12% of the item price plus seller-arranged buyer shipping. Tax is outside that boost base. Postage that Depop retains on a platform label is also outside it.

Older listings and UK examples on the help pages are not this US calculation. If the listing date is before March 23, 2026, the automatic 12% schedule does not apply. Enter the fee you were actually charged instead of inventing a historical rate.

Own-shipping illustration, US dollars
LineAmount
Item price$50.00
Buyer shipping$5.00
Sales tax$4.40
Processing base$59.40
Processing fee$2.41
Boost base, price plus buyer shipping$55.00
Attributed boost fee at 12%$6.60
Product, outgoing shipping, packaging$26.00
Profit if the sale is boosted$19.99
Profit if it is not$26.59

Revenue is not the processing base

Seller revenue in this example is the $55 of price plus buyer shipping. Tax is in the processing base and not in that revenue. Processing displays as $2.41. The boost, when it applies, is $6.60. Subtract the $20 product, $5 outgoing shipping, and $1 packaging once.

Boosted profit is $19.99. Without the boost fee it is $26.59. If you are not sure the sale was attributed, compare both numbers. Do not pick the higher one because the toggle is currently off.

One postage deduction

The $5 outgoing shipping is the seller-funded label in this own-shipping example. Do not subtract that label again as a second shipping cost. A platform label that the buyer’s postage already paid is a different case: follow the fee page for what Depop retained, and do not also treat it as money you received.

Common questions

Is there a standard 10% US selling fee?

Not in the US rule reviewed on October 8, 2026. Processing and a possible boost fee still apply. Check the current fee page for your listing.

Can I use these rates for a UK shop?

No. The automatic launch coverage is US dollars. A UK or Australian shop needs its own schedule, not the US percentages.
